Hi

I don't believe this functionality exists currently. At least, I cannot find it despite searching;

So, when someone rings the doorbell, I get a notifcation as per my settings. That's great.

However, it would also be great if when I answer the door (activating a Tapo contact sensor) that I could then have the ability (via a shortcut of similar) to trigger a cancel function of the 'missed doorbell' notification that invariably pops up a minute or so later.

It's just annoying .. 'No, I didn't miss the doorbell... I answered the door'. Just because I didn't use the app to answer it doesn't mean it wasn't ... answered!

This is especially of note when one of the family is out as they then perhaps believe that a parcel has not been received (for example).

Thanks

TG

I agree; it is a bit irritating that just because you don't use the app to answer the door (why would you faff about with your phone when the doorbell goes if you're at home and can simply *open the blooming door*?? ), it then counts as being a missed ring? I get that Ring want you to do as much as you can within the app, but this is, quite frankly , rather nonsensical. Why can't the app just indicate that your doorbell rang at whatever time, rather than telling you that you *missed* a ring, which may induce a bit of anxiety if, say, you'd been expecting a delivery but it didn't arrive at the time you'd been expecting.

surprise  @Ivanlc Sorry. I meant to say TAPO not "Ring" in the above reply. I don't even HAVE a flippin' Ring doorbell, for crying out loud...(!) 🤦🏿‍♂️
