D230 doorbell speaker volume

We live near a fairly busy road next to a river with a weir so there is always some background noise. As a result, anyone ringing our doorbell cannot hear us when we answer and speak via the app. I have searched through every setting of the D230 in the app but can find no way to adjust the volume or even determine whether it is already on the maximum setting.
N.B. This is nothing to do with the ringing volume or the sound level on the phone itself, but the volume of the speaker built into the doorbell push.

Go to doorbell device setting page, click Doorbell > Doorbell Ring, check whether the Doorbell Ring is on, and adjust the volume to high.
Do you hear anything from the doorbell when using the talk or voice call feature in the app through your phone?
Try to factory reset the doorbell then reconfigure it, see if it helps: press and hold the SYNC/RESET button for 5s to reset the doorbell.

On the doorbell liveview page, click the Talk or Voice Call feature, on the pop-up feature card, this is a setting button where you can adjust doorbell's speaker and microphone volume.

@Wayne-TP thanks Wayne.
The problem I now have is that the volume is turned up to its maximum but there is no sound coming from the doorbell speaker. I don't just mean it's quiet and can't be heard well because of the background noise I have described, there is NO SOUND, even putting one's ear right up to the doorbell push, nothing at all can be heard.
What's your next suggestion please?

Got a few devices. Tried two of them, camera and doorbell camera.
Both have the same issue. The devices did not have any sound when I used the talked feature.
Everything else worked so far.
I am about to open two other different device and I wonder if they have the same problem.

Does the camera alarm (detection alarm) work? Did you hear any voice prompt from the camera when setting up the camera? Like 'Connected to wifi', 'Reset successfully', etc.

I found the problem. The tapo app installed did not record the message that I wanted to add and the app has access to the microphone.
So I installed the app on ipad and it worked fine.
Then I restarted my iphone and it also worked afterwards.

Did you reinstall the app on the iPhone, or just restart the phone?
