I understand that there will be an option to save the footages on my H200.

However, it is not clear for me if the backup storage will only work if my camera is connected via WiFi, or this option will exist also for ethernet wired cameras as well?

How the camera connects to the router won't affect the hub video storage feature. To make sure this feature takes effect, the camera should be on the same network as the hub, it doesn't matter whether the camera is connected to router through wifi or ethernet.

Is there going to be firmware update to H200 that i can use my H200 to backup storage for my C530WS camera?

 

I don´t wanna use my cameras sd slot to store videos because anybody can just take the sd card away from the camera.

Tapo C530WS V2 does not support this feature yet. For the latest updates, you may follow the camera's new firmware release, important updates will be listed in the release note.

My C520WS v1.0 is theoretically compatible with my H200 Hub, but cannot see this option in the camera settings (firmware  1.2.11 Build 250331 Rel 38663n). Can you please advise me why?

C520WS V1 1.2.11 does not support this feature. However, the good news is that the supported version 1.3.2 has been released. You may check if your device has received this new version. 

New firmware is generally released in stages and it is not sent to all devices at once. If your device hasn't received this version, please wait patiently as the release scale will be expanded gradually to 100%.
