Model: Tapo C410
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: see above

Firmware will not update on one of the cams, reset, switched off and on,

Interestingly 1.0.24 cam has remained connected, 1.0.23 still loses connection occasionally.

Cams are on different Nodes.

  @PioneerLogic

In most cases, new firmware is being rolled out in stages. More devices will be covered when the release scale expands.

For the connection issue on your Tapo C410, we can offer you a beta firmware that includes relevant modifications if you want to get this resolved sooner in case the official version doesn't arrive in a short time. To apply the beta firmware, send me a private message with the Mac address of the camera.

Solution article: Tapo C410 1.0.23 and C425 1.2.23 Disconnect (Offline) Frequently under a Mesh WiFi Network

Before the Upgrade

(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!

(2) How to update the firmware of the Tapo devices on the Tapo App

(3) Firmware downgrade is not supported. When a new official version is released, updating it will overwrite the beta version.

It seems they do not deploy automatically too 100% of the devices, although, in my opinion, in this case, it should be faster since it has some important fixes

  @Jabteles Thanks for the response, I do find that hard to believe as these were bought as a pair and are the same device. My app is also showing as all firmware up to date with blue tick, yet go into the settings individually and they are different. Perhaps they update by serial numer but its very unorthodox, perhaps someone from tp link can confirm your understanding. Thanks again

  @PioneerLogic its not uncommon.

I'm also in the same situation with different cameras getting different fw versions.

They update in "update rings" precisely do detect issues before expanding the fw to everyone. This is probably done by MAC/SN or other filtet algorythm.
