Cloud or Hub MicroSD storage
Is it necessary to connect my Hub using Ethernet cable or need the cable? Without cable once sync, will it capture the video images and able to store in the hub?
Can anything store into the hub without any MicroSD card? As I don't need to keep the videos recorded, just need to know who is at the door?

When discussing whether a hub should use a wired or wireless connection, we're actually referring to the connection between the hub and the router. Compared to wifi, ethernet connection is more stable, less risk of environmental interference, and there is no need to concern about wifi signal strength. The hub communicates with cameras via a different type of wireless connection - TP-Link SubGhz. As long as the camera remains connected to the hub, it will continue to record video to the hub even if the hub-router connection is lost.
A microSD card is needed on the hub to store videos. You can only watch the video when it is saved somewhere, sd card or the cloud (Tapo Care subscription). If you only need to watch doorbell livestream and don't need to know who pressed the doorbell and who was at the door (playback videos), then the sd card is not necessary.
