TAPO D235 constantly going offline

Tapo D235 dooebell which is only a couple of weeks old is always going offline and telling me it can't communicate at the moment. It has a wifi signal speed of 31mps and -47 RSSI quality. it is situated less than a metre from the signal sender and the signal only has to go through one pane of glass. Does this indicate there is a problem with the unit (bought direct from manufacturer) or is there something I can do to get it to stay connected? At the moment it seems to have a mind of its own(AI maybe) and only connects when it wants to. Any help would be appreceiated before I give up and box it up for return, thank you in advance.
As a add on to this post, I also get a message saying 'Network unstable' and I can see above the live stream picture(when I can get one) the KB's figure constantly changing, ranging from 0 to 375Kb's. Not sure what this means if anything or what to do about it as my wifi is rock solid everwhere I test it including infront of the doorbell.

@900Sport Just sent my D235 back to Tapo for replacement today, not holding my breath for any current improvement on stability connection issue when new one arrives.. Let's keep onto them to resolve this obvious flaw..

@900Sport ahhh, that was the beta fimware they sent me few days ago, didn't get chance to monitor it because as soon as I downloaded it they told me to also factory reset the D235 in order to ensure the firmware was correctly installed..That was a big issue and ended up bricking the doorbell ! Will never do that again..hopefully get my new D235 exchange in next few days..Please keep me updated if this beta firmware is now stable..fingers and toes crossed !!!

I received my 235 in the post this week and I'm getting the same issue. I have a plusnet router mated to a mesh network.
I have Tp solar powered camera mounted outside and that comes online within seconds when I open the app but the doorbell doesn't unless I reboot via the app.
Have had some early dialogue with support but it's clearly a common issue with there software.

@Robcuk well just received my replacement D235 early this morning, reset it all up and hardwired it, for 20 minutes everything working fine...then the dreaded offline notification again! It had a firmware from March 2025, think the one they pushed to my last D235 was from May so will have to get back to them yet again..Wonder if the firmware version pushed to contributor in earlier post is still stable with his Sky SR203 router, would love to hear..So frustrating!

Hi All. The results of the Beta software installation are somewhat sketchy I'm afraid. On the positive side the App no longer goes "off line" but the problems with the camera are still intermittent although I feel maybe not as frequent. Support have since asked me to "Record a short video showing the issue when accessing the Live View page, including the time when the problem occurs and any error messages displayed". I would like to accommodate them, but problem is intermittent and I have no idea (or control over) why it starts and certainly no way of correcting it, other than physically switching off and on. So I have sent them another dianostic log.
Fingers crossed progress is being made.

@900Sport thank you very much for the (disappointing) update on your recent latest beta firmware update, glad you sent them diagnostic logs to investigate..I did for two hours this afternoon thought I had solved the problem having purchased a Tapo H200 hub for connecting the D235 to..Set up went smoothly 512gb sd card inserted, D235 linked seamlessly to the H200 hub and good stable signal for two hours. Just took the dog out for a walk and on return checked D235.....the dreaded "offline" showing on my phones Tapo app, yet all other Tapo cameras still function flawlessly..have e mailed the Tapo engineer I am in touch with, will await a reply, he will probably push out to me the same beta firmware you have and guess will still sadly be temperamental..keep in touch...
