This H500 should have a firmware update to improve Matter stability and could add more cameras to store footage on H500.

Thanks Wayne,
Noted. Wil do these manually.
How about migrations for:
P110/P110? (I have 4)
T100? Guessing if T110 is no then likely the T100 will also be reset to add (I have 4)
T310? (only 1 of these and it did tie into the C840 that states it can not be migrated due to firmware)
Not that I have any but for others:
T300 / T315
Regards,
Sven
The Tapo plug is connected to the router's WiFi, not the hub.
The last time i checked, the migration feature is available for T100 V1, Tapo D230, and Tapo C420 V1/V1.60. The firmware of the sub-device should include relevant updates to support this feature.

Thank you.
With the plugs, I forgot the fact they are IoT WiFi on my setup. So long ago when I set them up.
Not seeing the T100 as migration option at this stage. All good, I added 2 new ones today to the H500 so I know the work. Will wait for a while to see if migration comes later with firmware updates on the Australian versions.
So far migrated the C500 (x3), C520WS (x2), C320WS, C210. Added new T100 (x2) and a T310.
The unit works well.

@Wayne-TP Does the H500 (or H110) expose connected non-Matter child devices to Matter? Since the hub is the controller after all.

Both the H500 and H110 support Matter Bridge, syncing hub's sub-devices to other Matter platforms. Note that the supported device type and its available skills vary from Matter platforms.
Tapo H500 can work as a Matter controller, allowing users to configure and control third-party Matter-compatible devices via the Tapo ecosystem. Currently, the supported devices are limited to light bulbs, light strips, and plugs only.

@Wayne-TP Does that mean the sensors below all, if connected to the hub (for example H110), won't get matter support (which allows them to be added to Apple Home) then? I was considering getting the contact and temperature monitor but sadly if this is the case then I'll go back to Aqara.

Hello,
I recently purchased the Tapo H500 hub and I have a few questions and issues:
-
Face recognition – The performance is currently very poor. On some of my cameras it doesn’t recognize me at all, even when I’m standing directly in front of the camera. Are there any major improvements planned for this feature?
-
Time / DST – It seems the hub doesn’t take European daylight saving time into account, because all face detection timestamps are off by one hour. Is this a known issue?
-
Firmware update – My hub is running firmware v1.1.2, but on the TP-Link website I see v1.3.1. The Tapo app does not offer me this update. Is there any way to manually install or trigger the newer firmware?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Wayne, can you advise us when we could expect to be given access to the H500 via api, so that we can view and delete stored video etc other than on the Tapo app e.g. home Assistant?

That would be great – I also think an API would make the H500 much more useful.
Even simple JPEG snapshots accessible via URL (similar to what Hikvision provides) would already be a big step forward.
Many users expect this kind of functionality as a basic feature nowadays, since it makes integration with smart home systems (like Home Assistant and others) much easier and more flexible. It would significantly increase the value of the Tapo ecosystem.
