I want to connect the camera outside, so I got a cctv 18meters(bnc/power). 9v ac adapter doesn't work for 18m cord. 

 

I see the tapo c500 v1 uses 12v but version v2(which I have) comes with 9v ac adapter.

 

I just want to know if the tapo c500 v2 camera can work with a 12v adapter.

This is not supported. There are risks of damaging the product due to overvoltage.

I'm using v2 it with 12v.

 

9v doesn't work if you add extra cable. It also need a good power cable, the traditional Bnc 12v cord 18m doesn't work, inner copper is to thin. So I used a bigger awg cord.
