Smart Plug doesn’t work with wall mounted socket

does anyone know why a smart plug wouldn't work with a wall mounted socket?

As the tests prove that the Tapo smart plug and the wall socket both function correctly with other appliances or outlets, as long as they aren't connected together, my assumption is a compatibility issue. You can try to get a replacement to see if the same problem exists. If it does, then it's better to get an electrician involved to find out what might be the cause.

Where did you see that information? Are you referring to a different type of wall-mounted socket, a special type?

I have bought the P110M and they won't work on my wall mounted socket. I don't under stand why as it's surely the same as a normal socket with the wires in a cavity in the wall. But they don't work.

Just to be clear, are you saying that the smart plug is not receiving power? Does this issue happen only when it's plugged into this specific wall outlet? If you try other wall outlets or other outlets, does the smart plug work normally?
If this problem only occurs with a particular wall outlet, I recommend having an electrician check if there is any issue with that outlet.

Hi,
the smart plug works fine on every flush wall socket, just not the wall mounted one. I can't see that the wall mounted socket is an issue in itself, as when the dishwasher is plugged directly into it the socket works fine.
