If your product experiences similar issues that are not covered by this event, you can refer to the following suggestions for troubleshooting.

For the device's offline issue, it is important to verify what type of disconnection issue your smart device is experiencing. There are three types in general:

  1. Cloud disconnection: the camera has disconnected from the cloud, it cannot be controlled remotely anymore, but it is still online and manageable in the Tapo app when the mobile device connects to the same local wifi. Camera led usually turns solid orange in this state. *The information indicated by the LED status lights may vary between different device models. For details, refer to the product User Guide. TP-Link Download Center
  2. WiFi disconnection: the camera has disconnected from the router wifi, this is usually caused by to weak or unstable wifi signal.
  3. App display issue: The camera always shows offline in the app while the LED remains in the normal state -solid green, and you can still receive detection notifications.

  @Wayne-TP

I reinstalled the Tapo app on iOS and the problem persists.

The devices continue to work normally, without any different LED color.

I can receive the notifications, but the automations don't work properly.

- The LEDs of my devices look quite normal

- The devices are online and controllable under my local network (WLAN)

- Reinstalling the app is no option for me at the moment, because my devices in the Netherlands (cams, hubs, sensors) are still working and with reinstalling the app there might be a a chance to also loose them

- At my local network surprisingly a C325 and a C200 are still controllable via mobile network, all other devices (some c510, a c320, hubs and sensors) are only controllable via WLAN

- I don't get notifications from the offline devices, only when they are online via WLAN

- I've just uploaded a log from a  C510 (but then connected to WLAN). when I try to upload a log from the C325 (which is still controllable via mobile) I get an error message when trying to send which is 'network not availabel, try again later'

  @Wayne-TP the static green light appears in my 3 cameras and I continue to receive motion detection notifications. However the status remains offline ( either in an IOS or Android mobile phone)

Yesterday I asked to a person to go to the place and this person restarted the devices. Just for 1 minute they returned to be online. After that minute they became to offline status.

I deleted the app and reinstalled it again and the problem persists.

LED status is normal. Cameras and lights are all online and controllable when on the same network. All offline when on a different network. Still receiving notifications even when offline. Deleting and re-installing App has made no difference.

  @Wayne-TP Has there been any progress at all on resolving this issue. I am relying on a purely Tapo security set up which is now of no use for monitoring my relative's wellbeing overnight. Remote viewing is now at the point of being non existent. As others have said, it is only when in the actual property that connection resolves. Please get back to us with an answer as the Tapo system is now for all intents and purposes redundant and compromising personal safety.
