If your product experiences similar issues that are not covered by this event, you can refer to the following suggestions for troubleshooting.
For the device's offline issue, it is important to verify what type of disconnection issue your smart device is experiencing. There are three types in general:
- Cloud disconnection: the camera has disconnected from the cloud, it cannot be controlled remotely anymore, but it is still online and manageable in the Tapo app when the mobile device connects to the same local wifi. Camera led usually turns solid orange in this state. *The information indicated by the LED status lights may vary between different device models. For details, refer to the product User Guide. TP-Link Download Center
- WiFi disconnection: the camera has disconnected from the router wifi, this is usually caused by to weak or unstable wifi signal.
- App display issue: The camera always shows offline in the app while the LED remains in the normal state -solid green, and you can still receive detection notifications.

Maybe somebody who has an account at a public investigator (cannot publish a link here) like h...e can contact them and ask for further investigation. There might be a chance that they will get more information as this issue is going more into public... Could it be that Tapo systems had been hacked and as a protection action they have shutdowned all mobile connections to their server farms? So that you only have a 'local' system? And is this issue only happening at some countries or is it worldwide?

Now I also do not have access to my devices in the Netherlands any more (which was still possible some time ago) when I'm connected to mobile only. But when I'm connected to my local network via WLAN, I suddenly also have access to my devices in NL - kinda weird - very weird!
I more and more believe in my theory that Tapo Systems has been hacked. This shutdown is way too long for just some server problems (I've worked as an It-administrator years ago and I never had server shutdowns for technical reasons for such a long time) and the lack of public information and communication also IMHO points into this direction. After this 'event' Tapo will have to go a long way to earn customer reputation again - especially with people using their devices for business reasons. I have 33 Tapo devices (cams and sensors), which I use for monitoring different places and situations and installed several Tapo systems for business partners to monitor their properties and offices - what should I tell them now? They all were convinced that Tapo was reliable and devices would only be unavailable for max one or two hours....
The managers at Tapo obviously doesn't seem to realize what this disaster means for their reputation as a serious provider of security surveillance systems - nobody will rely on their systems any more if they don't solve this issue within the next few hours (ASAP has been long over!!!!) or at least give more information to the customers, explaining why this takes so long.... A surveillance system of my home (or anything else) where I can't get access to for hours (now it's even the second day!) when I'm not at home is of no use any more.
So, come on Tapo people, show us all that you are experienced enough to cope with such a mess!

Try a reboot of your phone to refresh your mobile connection completely. I did that several times today, so that my permanent switching between mobile and WLAN doesn't mix things up. When I did a reboot maybe an hour ago nothing had changed, after my last reboot just a moment ago now all my devices are available via mobile.

My tapo app is showing that the camera is offline
I tried to reinstall app, reboot my phone, change data sim. Nothing.
the camera is offline, but that's not true, as I'm getting the notifications, about motion detection.
