C500 not working

What's the led status of your camera?
For Tapo C500, the solid amber light means the camera is not connected to cloud -- remote control failure, but it is still manageable in the local network. If the camera led blinks red slowly, that means the camera is not connected to wifi, device's local control is not possible in this case.
