Did the specialist provide a solution Wayne? Thanks Michael

Postscript:   Duh!! I needed to allow Mobile Data for the Tapo App on my phone.  Of course then it works both at home and remotely. frown

  @Morshead Hi all, I am also experiencing the same problem for my D210. It was working fine for about 6 months until a few days ago when I noticed I cannot access the doorbell when I'm not at home. I use the Optus Ultra Modem with Wifi 6, connected to the 2.4GHz network.

I'm having the same problem. I'm in Australia on the Optus NBN network.

Seems there are multiple threads about Optus customers - I suspect Optus has mass-deployed a router update which has somehow disabled Tapo camera connectivity.

What you’re running into is a bit different from what’s being talked about here. It’s probably connected to the recent Optus network issues. Check out this article for more info and what to do next. [Tapo Smart Devices] Cannot be controlled remotely on the Optus network in Australia

  @Morshead

Hi all, as of 2 days ago, it seems like the issue has disappeared. I haven't done anything additional beside restarting the device multiple times, disconnecting and reconnecting it back to my account. Notifications took about a day to be active again (e.g., "Someone is at your door" alerts).

For reference, I have another family member's doorbell also connected to my account, with a 5+ year old Optus modem and there were absolutely no issues with theirs. Pretty sure it's the new Optus modem issue. I also tried connecting the doorbell to a hotspot and that worked fine.

This also happened to my L530 lightbulbs.
