Hi @Wayne-TP , the doorbell is installed on my front door and also act as a security camera for the front garden. I am mostly at home during the day, so I have setup the doorbell to have Privacy mode enable during the day, and Privacy mode disable during the night. Privacy mode during the day is so that I don't get continuous useless notifications every time I am in my garden or walk through my front door, plus it helps save battery.

However, sometime when I am home I don't have time to get to the door immediately when a delivery comes or someone rings the bell, for example when I am in a meeting. I would like to be able to record the moment when the doorbell is pressed. This correspond to the setting "wake up when=doorbell pressed". So instead of having the doorbell switching between Privacy mode On/Off, I would like the Wake up setting to switch between Event detected/Doorbell pressed, so that "wake up when=event detected" during the night, and "wake up when=doorbell pressed" during the day.

Is that possible?

  @Wayne-TP Okay, thank you. I think I will leave it for now, but I believe more options should be made available in the Actions section of automation for doorbells. Right now, the only actionable option for doorbells is the privacy mode. It would be good to have the ability to control features like detection mode and doorbell sound as actions in the automations. I will raise that as a feature request.
