Model: Tapo C425 KIT
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have recently acquired two Tapo C425 Kits. Done installation, firmware updates, app setup, etc.

I am currently exploring sharing devices with my family. I am in the free trial period but am considering the Tapo Premium plan thereafter.

Whilst sharing devices seems straight forward, and I understand they have limited access, are they not able to see past videos on the cloud either? Am I able to give them admin access so they can? If we opt to go with SD cards rather than a Tapo Care plan, can we all see past videos on the cloud?

Currently have Arlo Pro 3 cameras from a few years back. Sharing access and library/feed was available from the beginning. Is that not the case with Tapo, or am I missing something?

Cloud video is available for the owner account only. Shared device's feature permission cannot be adjusted.

Thanks for confirming.

Assuming local storage via SD cards and no subscription in future, by sharing access, would I and other users granted access be able to view videos 1) live and 2) saved locally on the SD cards?

In this same scenario, assuming the cameras are connected to the internet, to view videos/receive notifications, would we have to be connected to the same wi-fi network, or would being remote (for example, if we're away from home/out shopping) work the same with the Tapo app (provided internet on device)?
