Tapo devices going offline daily in Google Home - Daily relink is required to resolve

I have noticed a bug over the last 2 weeks where on a daily basis, my Tapo devices will appear offline in Google Home but are still active in the Tapo app.
I am running 5 Tapo devies in the app
2 x P110 smart power plugs
2 x P100 smart power plugs
1 x GU10 smart bulb
and I have also imported a Kasa smart plug into the Tapo app.
As stated above, on a daily basis when I call on Google Home to interact with any of these devices I will get a response that they are offline. I check the Google home app and yes they appear offline. I then look at the Tapo app and the devices are still online so there is something breaking the connection.
If I relink Tapo to Google Home, it finds all the devices again however this is a short term fix as the next day they revert back to being offline. I suspect the authentication key that Tapo provides to Google home has been set to expire after 24 hours.
As mentioned, I have no issue with my Kasa device and the app connects to Google Home and stays online.
I have tired uninsalling Tapo, clearing cache on Google home, restarting my phone and resinstalling Tapo but still the same issue.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident as there is a reddit thread on this issue already

I ask that TP-Link address this issue or I will be escalating with the ACCC (here in Australia) for a full refund on all my devices that I have purchased as works with Google Home is false advertising.
I await TP Links response

@Wayne-TP I'm testing this at the moment. So far not had a disconnect today. As extra info, I have reconnected twice while on cellular. I don't know if this matters but thought to include it to reduce variables

3. Recovery Steps: Relink Tapo with Alexa or Google Home while the Tapo devices show online status in the Alexa/Google Home app.
If the devices are already disconnected (show offline or disappear), relink Tapo with Alexa or Google Home twice:
- First relink: restore devices to online status.
- Second relink: relink Tapo and Alexa/Google while devices are online.
By re-link, do you mean disable the skill and then re-enable the skill in the Alexa app? I am on iOS (iPhone) and using the Tapo devices with an Amazon Echo (Alexa).
Trying to unlink from the Tapo iOS app results in the message "Please go to the Alexa app to unlink your account". When I do that the only way I see to unlink is to disable the skill and then re-enable it.
I'm pretty sure I tried this yesterday, which resulted in it lasting an extra 12 hours or so. It had been stopping in the evening, but my evening routines ran last night, butI had to re-link again this morning.
I just tried disabling and re-enabling the skill again, will see if that works. If there is another way to un-link the accounts please let me know, I really want this fixed.

Yes, that's the way to relink -- disable and re-enable Tapo skill in the Alexa app.
Did you do this before or after my response? It's possible the issue wasn't fixed when you did it. Please monitor your device's status today and keep us posted.

@Wayne-TP It is not fixed for me. Devices all offline again after about 24 hours.

@czech_boi how to relink while they are online? There is no option for me to relink to Google when they are already linked. To be clear, they are always online in the Tapo app, they only go offline in the Google home so can't be voice activated

Open Google home and click on devices and confirm you Tapo devices are online.
Click on the add button in the right hand corner and on the next screen select
"Works with Google home"
On the next screen you should see your already linked apps and one of them should be Tapo listing how many devices are already linked
Click on Tapo and select "Reconnect account" and follow the prompts.
It should give you the option to add your devices again and put them in rooms and then click done
That's it

@Bunnies-rule yes there is. You need to be in the google home app, not the tapo app. There click settings, then the tile 'works with google'.
Tapo is listed here and you can re-link as many times as you want. Good luck! So far, mine are still working since yesterday.

Sorry to hear that. The method that was provided by Wayne in this thread is working for me so far. Over 36 hours without a disconnection
