This request has been raised a few times already, but we haven’t received any feedback yet.

Tapo plugs are excellent for monitoring power consumption and for power cycling appliances. However, it's currently too easy to accidentally switch them off through the app.

We would like to request a feature that prompts for confirmation before turning a plug off. Ideally, this could be made optional—either as a global setting or configurable per plug.

Additionally, for plugs that are only used for monitoring or are meant to remain on at all times, it would be helpful to have the option to disable the switch-off button entirely, again on a per-plug basis.

We believe this feature would be relatively simple to implement and would significantly improve usability and prevent accidental disruptions.
