C425 not charging from solar panel
Purchased a C425 kit. Charged to 100% and working fine, except solar not giving charge. Read that needs to be under 90% for solar to kick in. Now 89% and still message indicating no solar charge ?

I called the support line and after a long discussion they agreed replacing it via Amazon was logical. I did that yesterday and the solar panel started charging immediately. It was either the cable or the panel itself obviously. Thanks

The threshold isn't a fixed value. The battery level drops if the camera consumes more power than the solar panel output. You may do a test on a sunny day, switch camera to privacy mode for half a day, then check whether the battery level increases afterward.

following the suggestion did not work, in fact even in privacy mode the power dropped from 89 to 88 % I like the camera and have many Tapo devices in my property, but if this will not charge from solar I will be sending it back to Amazon

The solar charging data graph can be found at the bottom of the Battery Status page, the last graph. The prompt 'There is no power supply' indicates the solar charging is not in progress at the moment, not that the solar panel isn't connected.
Is your camera linked to any third-party platform like Home Assistant? We have received user feedback that when the camera is associated with HA, the camera will continue to consume power even if it is switched to privacy mode.
