Dear TP-Link Team, First, thank you for continuously improving the Kasa/Tapo ecosystem and making it more convenient for smart home users. I’d like to suggest a feature that would greatly improve automation and security for those of us who use TP-Link Smart Locks along with door/window sensors. Currently, Smart Actions allow us to automate lights, plugs, and other devices, but there is no direct option to lock or unlock a smart lock as part of a Smart Action. For example, I would like to set up an automation where: • When my door sensor detects that the door is closed, the smart lock automatically locks. • Optionally, when the door is opened, the lock could remain unlocked until closed again. This would provide seamless automation, improve home security, and align with how users already expect smart locks to integrate with door sensors. Suggested additions: 1. Add “Lock” and “Unlock” actions to the Smart Action options. 2. Allow pairing with door/window sensors, motion sensors, or schedules. 3. Include optional safety conditions (e.g., “Only lock if door is closed”). This feature would reduce manual steps, increase security, and make TP-Link’s ecosystem even more competitive with other smart home platforms. Thank you for considering this request.
