Do you have a Tapo H500 hub? You may try to enable WiFi backup feature on the hub for the camera, this allows the camera to switch to connect the Tapo hub when router wifi signal is too weak. How to connect Tapo Wi-Fi Cameras/doorbells with Tapo Hub
The key here is to adjust the distance between the camera and the signal source, whether it is the router or the Tapo hub. If the camera is far from both devices, you may need to consider adding another network extender or purchasing an additional Tapo hub.
What should I do if my Tapo smart devices keeps losing connection or going offline?

@Wayne-TP Yes, I have an H500 hub, so I'll try setting it up with the Wi-Fi backup. That's a great suggestion. Thank you! - As I understand it, is it also possible to integrate a second H500 into the same system to make it more stable? I've now ordered the Deco X50 extender from TP Link. That should also provide additional amplification. I actually have the latest generation of Devolo Powernet at home...

@Wayne-TP understand, but with a second hub I can of course increase the range, just like with a range extender, am I right?

For a camera that has already selected the first hub as its WiFi backup, the existence of the second hub does not imply an expanded signal range. As stated earlier, a camera can only connect to one hub for WiFi backup. It can either connect to the router or the first hub, but cannot automatically link to other hubs within the network.
