Model: TL-PA7017 KIT
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 3.2.4_701E04_190619_901

I just bought a pair of PA7017 and although I could pair them and connect them to my router and PC within seconds, I haven't been able to get any internet connection through them.

What I mean by "internet connection" is quite literally the internet connection, as the PC-router connection works fine through the adapters (I can access my router's setting page just fine) so that's not the issue.

Both adapters are showing all three lights lighting up, tpPLC shows both adapters connected with a powerline rate of ~400 Mbps upload and ~250 Mbps download. The adapters are plugged directly in the wall and are about 20-25m apart. Task Manager occasionally shows my PC receiving up to 64 Kbps (wow!) but only momentarily (never for more than one ping at a time).

So far, I have only tried factory resetting both of them, which didn't change anything, but I'm having trouble thinking of solutions relevant to my issue as I do have some sort of connectivity between my PC and router, just no internet; ergo, please do not tell me to change my cables or something because I will lose it if you do (I'm joking, but please be pertinent, I've already read forum posts for hours :P).

I can't try both adapters in my router room because I do not own a laptop. I haven't found any firmware updates for my model either.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me.

Hello@Nawako0 ,

Welcome to our community.

If you have tried to configure the Powerline adapters but no internet, or devices such as PlayStation can not connect to the network, please confirm whether you have encountered the following scenarios:
Case 1. The powerline light is not on after the configuration
Case 2. The powerline light is on after the configuration
Case 3 Only the wireless connection is not working
Case 4. Only wired connection no internet
Case 5. Only specific devices cannot work
Then, it is suggested to follow the article to find possible solutions: What can I do if I can't have Internet connection after connected to powerline adapter?

  @Nawako0

Hi,

For the TL-PA7017 it should make no difference whether the webpage of the router or a webpage on the Internet is transferred through it. That is handled by the router.

By "never for more than one ping at a time" do you mean if you ping an IP address on the Internet you actually get one successful response from the Internet?

Has the PC you are trying to connect via the TL-PA7017 KIT previously been successfully connected to the Internet via the same Ethernet port?

If not, would it be possible for you to carry the PC to the room where the router is and connect it to the router directly via Ethernet cable, without using the TL-PA7017 KIT, and verify that everything works fine? (I mean just for a test)
