No notification or call when button is pressed

Man, I was happy when our local dealer had a good deal on the Tapo D210 Dorrbell. I raced home and made a special bracket to mount it perfectly.
I got it setup and the video quality was great.
But then I pushed the button as a "guest" and waited for the call on my phone.
Nothing happend. Again and Again.
Or... I worked once or twice, so I guess the setup is correct.
But I am really disappointed.
I have tried on my phone and my wifes phone.
Nothing happens.
The doorbell rings.
The chime rings.
Nothing on the phone.
In the tapo app it says I missed a doorbell.
But I get no call.
I have followed the instructions a 1000 times.
I am going mad here. So disappointed.
Can you help?

1. Make sure the camera has enabled the notification feature:
- Device Settings > Notification
- Tapo app, Me page > Notification > Device Notification -- Management.
2. Enable notification permission for the Tapo app. What can I do if I cannot receive my doorbell ringcall notifications?
3. Switch doorbell's wake-up type (Device Setting > Detection >Wake-up Settings) to 'Event Detected' and enable detection feature, test whether the detection notification arrives.

@Wayne-TP I deleted the device from my Tapo app, and then reset the device. Then installed it again and set it to "Push notification" instead of "Call feature". It works a little better, but it doesnt work everytime.
Does the app has to be open all the time for the notifications to happen?
I have 10 tapo normal cameras and they work great - I am sad that the D210 doorbell doesnt work as well.
I have followed all instructions multiple times - my phone is a Oneplus Nord 3 5G

Normally, you don't need to keep the app open to receive notifications. If you can only receive notifications when the app is open, it's likely that some settings on your phone are affecting the app's permissions. There are many brands and models of Android phones, so we can't verify all the possible settings that might relate to this issue. I recommend checking with your phone's support for assistance.
If the problem persists despite all app permissions being given, consider contacting our technical support for further assistance. Reproduce the problem, submit a log in the app, and include a detailed case description. You can also share the link to this post to them for reference. How to get the log of Tapo app
