Model: Archer BE900
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: V1.1.7

Dear Support:

My archer be900 router after upgrade the firmware to latest v1.1.7, many issue occurred. Internet connection drop 2-3 times per days, and just now the router no response, the panel shown the date and time and now not show, admin portal can't load the screen can't login, router halt. Finally I power off and power on the router and it works again.

So I would like to know, how can I roll back the firmware to v1.1.5? As before I upgrade, the router no problem very stable. But after upgrade to v1.1.7, the main issue is always drop internet connection.  Or do you have any suggest on how to investigate and fix it? I tried check the system log but no useful  information just log the NAT is load and the interface is loaded. no useful information to troubleshoot. My router bought from Jan, 2025. Thanks a lot!

Hello Fran, thank you for posting in the community.

If you want to downgrade to the previous 1.1.5 version, you can download the firmware from the local website, and then login to the router's web interface page to upgrade it as mentioned in Case 1 in 'How to upgrade the firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers'.

However, if you would like to investigate the unintended behaviors further on the 1.1.7 version, please provide more details as follows:

1. When the internet connection drops or the web panel doesn't display correctly, what about the LED status on the BE900? Are the client devices still connected to the wireless network of the BE900 and receiving valid IP addresses? If yes, are you able to ping the gateway?

2. Do you enable Reboot Schedule? If not, please try enabling it and rebooting the router regularly to see if it makes a difference.

3. Please monitor whether there is a particular activity or a specific device connection in your network that triggers the disconnection or router halt.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Yes it is internet connection lost again in v1.1.7. We tested the WiFi can connect to router, and the LED panel no light is because setup the no led period. So the reason actually is the same, is the internet connection lost again. Last day after the firmware upgraded to v1.1.7, the internet connection lost and can get back again around 10 minutes, sometimes it can't resume and I tried to unplug the internet network cable and plug again and the router can resume the internet connection.

So i guess it is the v1.1.7 firmware issue, right? As before I use firmware v1.1.5, it seldom have internet connection lost. just I found v1.1.7 fixed the internet connect lost issue then I tried to upgrade. But after upgrade the connection lost issue still exist. Now I tried to downgrade to v1.1.5, see it still have connection issue or not.

Will report to you the result later. Thanks for answering my question. thanks!

Best Regards,
