In December 2024 I made a post on the forum about geo fencing. By now it is no longer beta (I think...), but for us it does not work at all anymore.

What I set up:
When I come home, I want two outdoor lights to turn on based on location (Geo Fencing).

In the app I created a smart action where two lights turn on with the “when” (trigger) set to “Arrival.”

There I set our address and on the map a radius of 153 meters. (153, not because that exact number of meters is important, but because it is practically impossible to set a precise number with the slider in the app).

Then I indicated that this should only happen when my phone enters that area. (“If enabled, this smart action is managed by the location of this phone/tablet.”)

As active time I set from sunset to sunrise every day.

The lights are set to switch off automatically after 15 minutes.

Unfortunately, it does not work (anymore).

At first (still in beta) I created one smart action and enabled it for both my girlfriend’s and my phone (if my/her phone enters that area).

That did not work well.

The lights (strangely enough) only turned on when we both entered the geo fencing radius at the same time.

So I made two separate smart actions, one for my girlfriend and one for me.

They are basically identical, but on her device the setting “if my phone enters that area” is enabled for one action, while it is disabled for the other. And vice versa, on my phone the other action has “if my phone enters that area” enabled, while her action has that turned off.

That worked!
For a while...

Now it has not worked for quite some time.
And now that it gets dark earlier again, we would really like to use this option.

Does anyone know how we can make this work?
