Model: Archer AX72 Pro
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.4.1 Build 20250724 rel.49903

Hi guys,

For context:

I bought the Archer AX72 Pro from Amazon back in January 2025 (EU version which I'm told is compatible in UK) to replaced my ISP's (Toob) default router for a stronger Wi-Fi signal. The internet cable has been plugged directly into the Archer AX72 Pro ever since and I've had no issues with my connection until recently.

Around 2-3 weeks ago, I've started experiencing issues with my internet with regular disconnects and I have tried to investigate the issue.

I've contacted my ISP and they have stated that they cannot detect any issues in my area however do note that some maintenance work was done.

I've contacted TP-Link support (currently ongoing via email but the response time is quite slow) so I wanted to try the forum here to see if anyone might be able to help me.

My internet appears to be stable for about 40minutes at a time before disconnecting for about 90seconds and this has happened for over 5 rotations at one point. The loss of connection affects all devices (Ethernet and Wi-Fi) and I've tried the following:

1) Rebooting the rooter

2) Changing the DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 (as suggested by support)

3) Updating firmware to 1.4.1 Build 20250724 rel.49903 (there was an issue updating this firmware initially, for some reason the app couldn't update and support didnt recognise this update in their system).

4) Factory resetting the router

5) Reconnecting my ISP's router and connecting the Archer AX72 Pro to the ISP router (this is the current arrangement I'm using)

6) Going into command prompt and entering ipconfig / flushdns

None of the above has worked as I'm still experiencing timeouts.

Below is a summary of my system log (ip addresses redacted):

I have tried using AI to analyse the system log and it's suggesting that the router is trying to switch between WAN 1 and WAN0 which is causing the 90second drop out but I can't figure out how to fix this issue or where to go in tplinkwifi.net to fix it.

Thanks to anyone who'll take the time to help me.
