D130 door bell not submitting new faces for recognition

I've just got an H500 to add face recognition to my D130 doorbell and 2 C520WS cameras. I've turned on face recognition for all of them, but while I've had new faces submitted for identification by the C520s, none have been submitted by the D130, despite the fact that it has detected at least one person that has not been seen before. Nor has it recognised people who have been identified already and are recognised by the C520s. The H500 claims that all 3 cameras are supported, but the D130 isn't acting as though that were true.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Max

There is a newer firmware for the Tapo D130 that might help to improve its performance. If you would like to test this beta version, send me a private message with the doorbell's Mac address.
Before the Upgrade
(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
(2) How to update the firmware of the Tapo devices on the Tapo App
(3) Firmware downgrade is not supported. When a new official version is released, updating it will overwrite the beta version.

Beta firmware has been sent to your device, you may check it later in the Tapo app and perform the update.

@Wayne-TP I’ve just got back from holiday and tried power cycling the D130, then doing a reset to factory defaults. Neither got anywhere, unfortunately. The device is now in a cycle lasting about a minute. It first clicks several times with the LED off. Then it comes on solid red for about 15 seconds, then slow flashing red for about another 30 seconds. Then it flashes amber once, then fast red several times. Then the LED goes off for a bit and the cycle restarts. I guess it’s either failing to boot or crashing immediately it does. Either it failed to install the new firmware (it was set to auto-update) or there’s a problem with it. Is there anything I can do to recover it? If not, what do I do now? Thanks

@Maxcaines0 As this fault has developed within the 30-day return period, I've decided to return the D130 to Amazon for replacement. As it seems to be impossible to recover from a failed update or a faulty version, I shall be more cautious before doing future updates.

@Maxcaines0 This device state is indeed abnormal. If the device show no changes during or after the reset, then replacing it will be a good idea.
