Model: Tapo D225
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.19

I am building a home and had the electrician put a 120V wire near where I wanted to mount my D225. He is saying it cannot be done because of the adapter and cable. Does anyone have any suggestions on how this might be done?

Thanks in advance.

Tapo D225 cannot connect to AC 120V directly, you will need to install a transformer: an 8-24V AC, 10VA minimum transformer. Check this article for detailed installation guides (this article applies to D225 as well): How to install Tapo Doorbell Tapo D235
