Solution Tapo H110: Air Conditioner Cooling Mode Not Function Properly in Apple Home or SmartThings App
This Article Applies To
Tapo H110(EU/US/JP) V1 Firmware 1.1.0 Build 250514 Rel.162037
Description
If you have an IR air conditioner linked to the Tapo H110 and synced with a third-party platform via Matter, such as the Apple Home app or SmartThings app, you may notice some issues controlling the AC's Cool mode through those apps, even though it operates correctly in the Tapo app. For example:
1. The Cool mode may automatically switch to Heat mode.
2. The third-party app may indicate that Cool mode is not supported.
Workaround
There is a beta firmware that includes relevant modifications. If you would like to try it out, follow the guide below to apply the firmware.
How to Apply Beta Firmware?
1. Check the Mac address of your Tapo camera or doorbell.
2. Send a private message to @Wayne-TP with the following information:
- A brief description of the problem, including the third-party application you use.
- Mac address of the Tapo H110 hub.
Before the Upgrade:
(1) Please be sure you have read the Beta Test Agreement before upgrading the Pre-release firmware!
(2) How to update the firmware of the Tapo devices on the Tapo App
(3) Firmware downgrade is not supported. When a new official version is released, updating it will overwrite the beta version.
