Hi,
Please confirm the following information for the reported phenomenon.
1. On the Kasa app > camera's Device Settings >Video Quality page, is the 2K option selected?
2. Do you mean the resolution in the Kasa app will change from QHD to HD after Google or Alexa accesses your camera? Or does the Google or Alexa device have HD resolution when watching the camera's live feed?
3. How many phones, tablets, Google or Alexa devices access the camera's live feed simultaneously? Locally or remotely?
4. Have you subscribed to the Tapo/Kasa Care plan?

Hi,
Generally, streaming the camera on Google Home/Alexa devices won't affect the camera's resolution when watching in the Kasa app. Would you please send us a video showing the camera's resolution drops in the Kasa app after Google Home/Alexa device access? If you force-close the Kasa app and reopen it, will the resolution revert to 2K?
You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.
What Google Home or Alexa device are you using to stream the camera's live feed? For example, some Alexa devices (like the Echo Show) typically support video streams up to a maximum of 1080p resolution.

Hi,
Just double-confirm, is the phenomenon you experience that you set the KC400's resolution to 2K in the Kasa app > camera's Device Settings > Video Quality page, however, the video quality will set to 1080P automatically whenever the Alexa/Google Home runs a query(such as say "discover" to alexa or "sync all my devicea" to google)?
If that's the case, please confirm the following information for further analysis.
1. What's your phone's model number and OS version?
2. What's the Kasa app's version? You can find it in the Kasa app > Me > About page.
3. Please send me (@Solla-topee) the camera's MAC address via a private message.

Hi,
I reviewed our technical team's email content and believe they understand your current inquiry. They provided you with the Kasa debug app (Kasa trial app), which can be installed on an Android phone. It's functionally identical to the official Kasa app, but adds the ability to collect app logs.
Since the phenomenon you experience is that the KC400's video quality drops from 2K to 1080P in the Kasa app after Google Home or Alexa runs a query, we hope you can reproduce this process while using the Kasa debug app to collect app logs for further analysis.
Your cooperation is highly appreciated!
Best Regards
