This is not device related, but I did not know what category I shoud use.

 

I had been using the app on my Android phone for about 2 years and I always left it logged on, but a few days ago I went to use it and it asked me to log on. I used my usual credentials but got the "incorrect ID or password" message. I followed all the troubleshooting advice on the website but no go.

 

I installed the app on my Android tablet and it worked fine, but still not on my phone. The technical hotline could not help. It seems there is something about my phone that the app does not like.

  @HelpFixDecoApp Thanks for your reply. I have just tried to log in again and it worked! I haven't done anything to fix it, I have no idea what happened.

When you created your account on the forums did you use the same email and password that you use on the app? If yes you may need to delete the Tapo app settings on your phone.

 

If you used a different email address on the forums have you tried to reset your password in the Tapo app? 

 

To reset your Tapo app password, go to the app's login page and click Forgot Password. Enter your Tapo cloud account email address, and you will receive an email with a link to reset the password. Click the link, enter a new password, and save it.

May just been as simple as when you tried to log in the login server was down
