P110 gone offline and won't reset
Monday
Model: Tapo P110
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have had several Tapo P100 and P110 smart plugs for around three years. Recently one of the P110 plugs has shown in the app as offline. I removed it from the power socket, but when I replaced it the led started rapid green flashing. I left it like this, thinking that it might be downloading a firmware update, but the green flashing continued overnight. I then tried a factory reset, holding the button down for over thirty seconds, but with no effect; the rapid green flashing continued.

Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

Smart plug's led indicator keeps flashing green. > Generally this state means the smart plug is being reset, performing a firmware upgrade, or the FFS setup is in process. If this state has no changes for a long time, like servel hours, try to power cycle the smart plug. Unplug the smart plug your having this issue with from the wall outlet and wait 3 to 5 minutes before plugging it back in.

If the above steps don't fix the issue please try performing the factory reset again.

Please keep us posted

Thank you

Thank you. I connected the device to power for around four hours, and the rapid green flashing started immediately and continued throughout that time.

I then removed the device from the power supply and waited for around ten minutes. I then tried holding down the button for more than ten seconds, in order to trigger a factory reset, but that still had no effect. The rapid green flashing persists whenever the device is connected to power, whatever I do to the button.

I'm afraid this device needs to be replaced if it doesn't respond to a reset. To proceed with device warranty, you may contact the retailer or local TP-Link support.
