I recently installed the D235, which is hardwired for Always on working. I've encountered an issue with the spotlight activating and deactivating unexpectedly. The camera is situated in an area with sufficient ambient light at night. I have configured the camera to "Colour Night Vision" mode and "Auto" for day/night switching. However, I've observed that the spotlight occasionally remains active during daylight hours. While manually adjusting the day/night mode temporarily resolved the issue, this is not a sustainable solution. The automatic mode appears to struggle with transitioning between day and night, which seems to be causing the spotlight to remain illuminated continuously.

Implementing a scheduling feature for day/night mode transitions would be highly beneficial for users with adequate ambient light during nighttime hours.

The day/night mode transition requires ambient light to fall below a defined threshold. The doorbell might not switch to night mode automatically when the surroundings are too bright, and it could also have trouble reverting to daytime mode.

You can simulate a dark environment for the doorbell, test whether the doorbell can switch between day and night mode automatically. If it works fine there, then the issue is probably just the lighting around your doorbell.
