Hi, I recently purchased a Tapo TD21 expecting that it would work well with google home devices, but it doesn't disappointingly. I can get the live feed to stream on my Google Display by saying "ok google, show my doorbell". But there are no automation events available in the google home app. I would like to be able to automatically open the live stream on the google display when the doorbell either detects a person or the doorbell is pressed. Is there a way of doing this or will these events be added to the google home app in a future update? Thanks for your help.

Tapo doorbell supports voice notifications on Google Home (through Assistant speakers and displays), including doorbell-pressed and doorbell ring events.

There is a way to show doorbell live stream to a Google display when someone presses the doorbell. You can find detailed configurations in this link, shared by user @RLoire4z. https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/669740?replyId=1413470

As for the moments when the doorbell detects an event, i'm afraid there are no feasible ways so far  (not that i can think of).
