Model: Tapo P110
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.4.0 build 251020 rel. 161559, h/w v v1.1

Hi, I have an odd issue. Until recent I used the Kaza app to manage a range of Kaza plugs which were connected over two Cisco access points and this worked with no issues.

However, I needed another two plugs so I purchased two Tapo P110 plugs (as the Kaza ones are no longer available). This then required a change of app so I installed the Tapo app and it recognized all my Kaza devices plus the two new P110 plugs. I installed the P110 plugs with the basic setup, no scheduler, just connect only and so far so good.

After installing, everything continued to work well / as normal the Kaza plugs using the new Tapo app - and no issues when managing the kaza plugs with the new Tapo app over different access points. However, when I move away from the tapo P110 plugs and onto a different access point using the tapo app I notice that the two tapo p110 plugs go off line after a while. If I move back to the access point where the Tapo plugs are connected to they come alive again.

All this time the Kaza plugs work with no issues.

In regards to connectivity, I can ping these new Tapo plugs from the access points and from a different IP network when they show as off line on the tapo app so I'm confident the communication is ok. Furthermore, all the Kaza devices continue to work with no issues. The Tapo plugs can re-appear after a while or stay off line until I move back to the access point where the tapo plugs connect to.

Has anyone had this problem ?. The new plugs are on the latest firmware, they are very close to an access point that serves other Kaza plugs and apart from the P110's, I have no issues at all.

Thanks in advance
