Tapo app (Android): If you have many automations and/or shortcuts, the lack of management options can be frustrating.

There is no way to sort automations or shortcuts, and you can't search, filter, or tag them. I wish you would implement these missing features.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback! To better evaluate your feature request, we would appreciate it if you could provide some additional information. For example:
  1. By what criteria would you like to sort the smart action entries? For example: date, number of clicks, etc.
  2. What keywords would you like to use for searching? What criteria would you like to use for filtering? For example: time range, etc.
  3. What types of tags would you like to add?
  4. Other requirements

Best Regards

Hello!

To start, let's keep it simple.

Regarding sorting, I was thinking of manual sorting, similar to the current implementation in the app. For example, on the 'Home' page, where you have 'Favorites', 'All Devices', etc., if you tap and hold an item, you can rearrange all the items in any order. It might be easy to implement the same functionality for 'Shortcuts'and 'Automations' on the 'Smart' page.

For searching, a new action button could be added at the top of the UI (where the "Add" action ("+") and others are currently located, depending on the page). Ideally, this would function on any page ('Home', 'Smart', etc.). When tapped, it would display a text box for entering the search term. The items on the page would then filter out those that do not include the search term in their name (Device name, Shortcut name, Automation name, etc.), or a device name within an automation when using this feature on the Smart > Automation page.

I have a screenshot illustrating the idea, but uploading it here always fails.

By implementing these two features, the experience will be significantly improved.

Best regards
