Person detection in poor daylight
I am finding person detection and tracking to be very poor (usually non existent) after dark in day mode. Why would I be using day mode after dark you may ask. The answer is I am not, the camera is set to auto, but it does not switch to night mode while street lighting is on.

Hi,
When the Video mode is set to Auto, the Tapo Camera automatically switches between Day and Night modes based on the ambient lighting conditions. In your situation, if the streetlights are bright, it's normal for the camera not to switch to night mode. We recommend adjusting the camera's position to avoid including streetlights in its field of view.

Thank you for your response. As this is not a practical solution for any position at the front of a house a few metres from the road where a street light is on the opposite side of the road, and is no doubt an issue reproduced in many homes, may I suggest more appropriate recommendations?
1. Allow the user to schedule night mode similarly to how the alarm can be scheduled (you could also give the choice of selecting an auto night mode setting, programmed to activate from dusk to dawn according to the time of year).
2. I think I saw details for another camera which allowed you to adjust the amount of ambient light in which the night mode would operate. If I am right and this feature were enabled for this camera that could also be answer perhaps!
