P100 scheduler not working since 19-December
2 of my Tapo P100 smart plugs have stopped properly working.
Both are set up and running since 22-Aug-25.
Tapo #1 has a set up schedule to switch on sunrise/ off sunset and hasn't failed switching on and off on time.
Tapo #2 has a set schedule to turn on every hour. Then there is an automation flag that is set up as so:
WHEN: Tapo turns ON
THEN:
1. Delay 5 minutes
2. Switch off
3. Send Notification
Since December 19 for BOTH
Tapo 1: does not switch on/off on the set sunrise/sunset time intermittently. Sometimes it is still on well after the sun has set. Sometimes it doesnt switch on / is late. It was already such a hassle that I had them set on schedule for a fixed time in the morning and at night. It still has the same behavior - not switching on (observed 3x now). It switches off delayed, like 30 minutes after set time (20:00)
Tapo 2: has only ran the automation once or twice a day since 19 December. I had only noticed while trying to figure out Tapo 1. This was real disheartening as the Tapo controls 4 vivarium's humidity (connected to an analog fan controller) and is supposed to run 5 mins every hour. Since 19-Dec it has ran 23h and 5 minutes a day 😒
I had observed my WAPs, and there is no interruption (ran a ping test during this time on the local AP via a wireless device + google [for checking internet access] there were no spikes in latency locally, nor anything out of the average / dropped packets internet wise.
Did anything change? Why are my devices suddenly unreliable?
