The Tapo T100 has been out for a while now, and it's time for Tapo to go a step further and release a true Presence Sensor that is able to detect the presence of humans even if they are not moving.

Such a device can be very helpful to keep lights on in a room while there is a person inside, even if they are just lying on the couch watching TV for example. It would also be very nice if the presence sensor also contained a light sensor, so automations can be setup to switch on the lights only if there is low light level in the room. Bonus points if if also includes a temperature and humidity sensor.

There is a few products out there in the market with these specifications already (like the Aqara FP300 or the SONOFF SNZB-06P), but they usually work with Zigbee so we need a battery-powered Tapo device that works with Tapo HUBs.

Thank you!!

That T150 looks interesting!

There are various pages which described the T150's features, but nothing yet to say when it will be for sale.

I'd suggested they should release a light-level sensor some time ago, but this is a much more sophisticated device.

(A shame it's not going to be suitable for use outdoors as well, but perhaps it could be protected by a water-tight box)
