If you have the tapo app on your phone/tablet and your phone/tablet is in a different time zone to the tapo smart plug or other hardware are the schedules for the smart plug based on the time zone the plug is in or on the time zone your phone and therefore the app is in?

The schedule and automation features use different time references:

  • Schedule: Follows the smart plug’s device time. The smart plug's device time is set to the time zone of the phone you use to set it up. 
  • Automation: follows the system time of the mobile device that created the rule.
