I'm using 4 L630 light bulbs in a ceiling light. Apart from the software control you are able to cut the power via a hardware switch, just like a regular lamp. Problem is that after three on off cycles with the hardware switch the lamps do a factory reset and are disconnected from the app. Is there a way to work around that problem without getting the Tp-Hub and fitting switches? So to be able to control the bulbs via app and the power via switch.

The current reset mechanism for this bulb is triggered by cycling the power three times. There is a plan to increase the cycle count to five to reduce accidental resets caused by voltage fluctuations. Tapo Smart Bulb Reset Method Update -- Reducing Bulb Resets Due to Unstable Power Supply

However, if you frequently control the bulb using a physical switch, such resets may still occur. In such cases, we recommend considering a smart switch, which allows control both via the app and through the physical button.
