Tapo C410 will not power on unless connected to an external charger
The camera was being used outside on a solar charger for a few months. I moved it to a new site and a new location. Reset and readded while plugged into an external charger.
Everything appeared to be OK. The battery shows 100%.
But, when you remove the wall charger, it will not power on. Even if you attched the solar panel, it will not power on. It will only work with an external charger plugged in.
Any ideas?

Im having the same issue with one of mine tapo C410 cameras.
For some reason it became offline, it can only stay on if plugged into a charger and it not holding any charge, if i disconnect it from the wall charger it shuts down.
Cant even acess it via tapo app after reset because its giving an error because it has 0% battery, the only time i can view the camera image is after a reset and adding it again during the first configuration, after that i cant acess the camera again.
Any idea how to bring back the battery alive again? The camera is around 1 year old.

Sorry I cant be of help. My Camera was less than a year old, but had different symptoms to yours. My battery claimed to be 100% charged when plugged in to charger but would not power on from battery or remain powered on if charger removed. Being less than a year old, I've been able to return it to the supplier for investigation. Not heard back if they will replace it yet or not. I have 2 others of the same model which are still working perfectly.
Good luck.

Im leaving mine plugged to a 5V1A charger for 24h, hopefully it will hold some charge, its the only test i havent done yet.
I also have more (+4) of this same camera model, all working fine, the one having issues is the most recent.
Good luck to you too!
