Model: Tapo C425 KIT
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.0

Hello, I would like ot know if its possible to get a firmware update or something so that the C425 camera can be used with the rtsp protocol for frigate.
I had been using a c125 indoor camera that's looking out of my window, but its not the best being indoors, so I bought the C425 and thought I could just use that instead.

But it doesnt seem to have rtsp. I have managed to work out a little bit of a solution by using go2rtc stream, but for some reason every 10mins the feed goes down for about 30s-1min. Which is a bit of an annoyance when recording because it leaves a gap in the video.
So yeah, Just wondering if its possible to get rtsp protocol working on this camera.

And for the record, I know its battery powered. I have it plugged into a usb charger as the solar panel didn't seem to charge it that much.

Battery‑powered cameras are designed for locations where wiring power is difficult or impractical. Their battery‑operated nature means they do not support high‑power features such as RTSP streaming or continuous recording. If you have access to a power outlet, there are already models available that are specifically designed for such use cases -- non-battery-powered ones.

I’m not aware of any related plans at the moment, and from what I understand, the possibility seems fairly low. You might want to look into models that support AC power (using an AC adapter) instead. TP-Link - Cloud Cameras
