Firmware Version: 1.2.1

I have 2 c410 outdoor battery cameras. I owned them for 6 months and I was pretty happy. For the last two weeks, they are not working properly and it seems that they don't detect any event. It is like they are constantly in standby... to detect events I need to be in the app, which is useless.... Things that I have checked:

- Turned off and on

- rebooted several times

-Made sure they are in the latest firmware

- Paired again in the app

- Increased wake up sensitivity and sensitivity of the detection (motion/person)

I have gone through the Manual and I am 100% sure that they are installed properly. I have recently noticed that if they are connected to the power and it is at 100%, they will detect motion... but as soon as they are disconnected and the battery drops (even at 95%!) they will not detect anything again. This shows me that there is an issue with the PIR sensor that doesnt have enough voltage to wake up. I dont think that the PIR sensor is broken as it wakes up when charging and is at 100%!

Is there any beta firmware that can be used to try to change the voltage change to wake up the PIR?

Hardware version: 1.0

Firmware Version:1.2.1

I have also fully uninstalled the Tapo app and paired again the cameras but the motion detector is in a deep sleep and will not work when not powered.... Any ideas of what else I can do?

For your case, we recommend reaching out to the support team directly for further investigation. Contact Technical Support

To facilitate case analysis, please enable the Diagnostics mode on your camera in advance: enter camera's liveview page, go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Diagnostics.

Then reproduce the problem and provide the time stamp of your operation:

  • Detection test (not detection range test) when the camera battery is at 95% and without watching camera live stream.
  • Detection test (not detection range test) while camera is plugged in and battery level has reached 100%, also without watching camera live stream.
