Model: Tapo C500
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Version 1.3.1

Having used the Cameras for a while I believe that it would be useful if there were more 'steering' dots, ie, an extra one in between the existing ones on all four sides, which would make setting a detection zone more versatile.

Also, When there is a Firmware update the 'check for updates' button is only active for a millisecond, and when there is an update there is no 'progress' bar, unlike most other apps.

Hi,
Thank you very much for the feedback regarding the camera's detection zone and firmware update feature. I'll log them and forward them to the relevant team for evaluation.

The 'check for updates' button is used to check if a new firmware is available. If a new firmware is released to your camera and you see it in the camera's Firmware Update page, the 'check for updates' button is inactive, which is reasonable.

Best Regards

Thanks for the response, how do you feel about my observation about a 'download progress bar' ?

Hi,
Whether you mean the "updating process bar" rather than the "download process bar"? Would you explain why you want this feature?
Generally, if you want to know whether the camera is updating its firmware, you can check the LED status on the Tapo C500. The quick flashing green LED indicates that the camera is updating its firmware. The "updating process bar" usually won't affect the firmware update result. There doesn't seem to be a strong need to add this feature.
Best Regards

I don't think that I have explained what I mean clearly enough, which is my fault.

I don't use the LED light on  the Camera, in fact this would be awkward as the cameras are located outside, and in poor weather this wouldn't be nice. I did not even know that this was n option.

Often when you update an app you see a long rectangular bar and it fills in progressively from the left as the download is installed,  and disappears when the download is completed.  Also a similar feature, would, in my opinion, be useful when a camera activation is  being downloaded, the time for which can vary depending how strong the signal from the camera to the  app is.

Hopefully I have made myself clear this time, but if not then please  come back to me.

Kind regards.
