  @Prabhuanvi

 Hello,

Welcome to the community, and thank you for providing the details of your setup.

The message “This smart device can only be controlled locally” usually indicates that the camera is connected to the local network but is not successfully connected to the internet for remote access. This is often related to router, repeater, or network configuration settings.

As a first step, we kindly recommend following the troubleshooting guidance provided in the official FAQ below, which covers this exact scenario 2 in detail: Cannot view Tapo/Kasa Camera

If you still can't control your camera, please leave your comments here or contact our  technical support team with the troubleshooting steps for further assistance.

Best Regards.

Hi,
Thanks for the update.

Could you please confirm whether you have tried connecting the camera to a different Wi‑Fi network, or using a mobile hotspot to complete the setup? This can help determine whether the issue is related to the current network environment.

If the issue persists after trying another Wi‑Fi or hotspot, we recommend contacting your local technical support team so they can follow up and assist with the next steps.

Best regards,
