Model: Tapo C225
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.2

Hi everyone,

I just bought a Tapo C225 recently.

I noticed on the official site that there are different hardware versions. I have the V2, but there's also a V2.20 and a V2.6.

Does anyone know what the actual differences are?

Since I'd like to have the most up-to-date hardware, I wanted to double-check.

Thanks!

Hi,
Thank you for your question.

The V2, V2.20, and V2.6 hardware versions of the Tapo C225 do not differ in terms of features or functionality. Basically there are no differences in software capabilities, performance, or supported features between these versions.

These hardware version numbers simply indicate that the devices were manufactured in different production batches or factories, which is common in large‑scale manufacturing.

Best Regards,
