Hello,

I have a used TP-Link Tapo C200 camera.

Initially, the camera was linked to another TP-Link account, but support has already removed that connection.

I reset the camera several times to factory settings, tested the setup with another smartphone, and also connected it through a mobile hotspot.

The camera works perfectly via local WLAN, but remote access via mobile internet still does not work.

MAC address has already been sent privately to support.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Hi,

Welcome to TP-Link community.

If the camera shows “Local Only” and cannot be viewed remotely, follow Scenario 2 in this FAQ: Cannot view Tapo/Kasa Camera

If the problem persists, contact our customer service team and provide the results of the above troubleshooting steps.

Hi,

thank you for your reply.

I already completed the standard troubleshooting steps:

- Camera was reset to factory settings several times.
- Camera was removed and added again in the Tapo app.
- Connected to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- WPA2 is enabled.
- WPS has been disabled on the router.
- Camera works correctly inside local WLAN.
- Live video and local control are available.

The problem remains:

Outside my home Wi-Fi, when using mobile internet, the app shows:
"Device can only be controlled locally".

My router detects the camera correctly, internet connection is stable.

Could you please check whether this camera serial number may still be linked to another TP-Link account or cloud registration?
