Hi Community,

I've recently set up C710, the dection zone is set within my front yard, and the security notifications are working perfectly. The floodlight however is turning on at night for everything outside of the detection zone. For Camera it has detection zone activated for people only. Everything is off. The light is responding to cars outside the yard and turning on every minute. How do I stop this?

thanks

@Lakedge157 clarifying the camera detection zone is on, within the light settings. But it's reacting to everything else. Thanks

Hi,

Based on your description, it appears that the detection zone is currently only applied to person detection. This means that other types of detection (such as general motion or vehicle detection) are still active across the entire field of view, which is why the floodlight is being triggered by movement outside of the defined zone.

We recommend that you review your detection settings and zones carefully, especially for any motion-related features linked to the floodlight. Adjusting these settings accordingly may help limit the light activation to your intended area.

For more details, refer to this article: How can the floodlight on the Tapo C720 be activated?

Best Regards,
