I've got the doorbell hooked up to the mains that's on a switch but it keeps disconnecting from the WiFi it will work for a while then randomly disconnects the WiFi box is right next to it and I've tried all the troubleshooting but it still keeps happening but as soon as I turn it off and back on it connects straight away but then works for a few days/ weeks sometimes then disconnects again been happening for a few months now it worked brilliant for the first 2 weeks I installed it now having this issue any suggestions that aren't the troubleshooting ones as I've tried them multiple times would be appreciated

How do you tell the doorbell has disconnected from the WiFi? Is its LED blinking red slowly? For the WiFi disconnection issue, you can find troubleshooting suggestions here: Troubleshooting Guide: Tapo Camera, Doorbell, or Smart Device Going Offline

 

But if your doorbell's LED turns to solid amber, that means it is disconnected from the cloud, not WiFi. In this case, you can still manage it in the local network, but not remotely. If this is your case, check Case 2 suggestions here: Cannot use the Tapo/Kasa app to control my smart devices
