Visitor Check-In Automation Using Digital Membership Cards and Tapo Smart Devices
I'm exploring a visitor management workflow and wondered if this could be a future integration for the Tapo ecosystem. Imagine a digital membership card or visitor pass containing a QR code. When a guest arrives, the QR code is validated through a visitor management platform and then triggers a Tapo automation through the Smart Hub. The workflow could automatically unlock approved entry points, switch on lights, activate welcome scenes, or notify the host through Tapo cameras and sensors. For offices, clubs, gyms, coworking spaces, and residential communities, this could create a seamless check-in experience while maintaining security and access logs. Would it be possible in the future to expose APIs, webhooks, or Matter-compatible triggers that allow third-party visitor management and digital memberhsip card platforms like Membership Anywhere to initiate Tapo Smart Hub automations? I think this could open interesting opportunities for smart access control beyond traditional smart home use cases.
